Lakewood
Last night mom saw a VW commercial on PlexTV. It made her think of her first car, a 1973 VW Super Beetle (much like the pic). She was racking her brain trying to remember the name of the VW dealer on W Colfax where she bought it She took a 'trip' on Google Maps and found the old location was 7800 W Colfax Ave, Lakewood, CO 80214. She looked to see if a VW dealer was still there. There wasn't So, she looked for one in the area. She found Larry H. Miller Volkswagen at 8303 W Colfax Ave, Lakewood, CO 80214. She called them to see if they knew the name of the old VW dealer. A VERY nice man put her on hold while he went and asked others. They didn't know it, but she got to listen to some nice music. Reminded her of Marcin Guitar and his flamenco music. The VERY nice man even offered to try and find the name from others that might know. She appreciated his offer, but she'd thought of one other place that might know so she called them So, she took another 'trip' on Google Maps and found Sheridan Auto Tech at 7864 W Colfax Ave, Lakewood, CO which was across the parking lot from the old VW location She called them and the NICE man that answered went and asked his boss if he knew. He did. It was named Vern Hagestad Volkswagen The original location was at 8000 W Colfax Ave, Lakewood, CO and later moved to 7800 W Colfax Just wanted to post this, because the men that helped mom at Larry H Miller Volkswagen and Sheridan Auto Tech were VERY nice and helpful It's NICE to see helpful people in this world Mom LOVES Google Maps, because she can still 'drive' and see things. Mom no longer drives due to a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) she sees double out of her left eye, but shortly before she had to give up driving she'd won a VW GTI. As a result I inherited it
